2013 Haiti Trip: Day #4

Guest Blogger: Jason Spinney

Having been in Haiti for four days now, each day I have seen God move in amazing ways and today was no exception. Today we visited a location called Archaea where there were over 100 children and we as a team had the opportunity to touch each one of their lives through Jesus. Seeing these children was an eye opening experience, each one starved for attention, wanting nothing from you but to hold their hand. One little girl who couldn’t have been over the

age of three found me and held my hand for over an hour, just staring at me and looking around, but no matter what I was doing or where I was going she would hold my hand and follow me. This was an amazing reminder as to how much the kids loved that you were there to play with and love on them all.
Even better than the children and the games was when we got to share the love of Christ with them all. In VBS (Vacation Bible School) we planted seeds and had a harvest as many children accepted Jesus as their savior! Seeing the power of Christ move in children in such an amazing way is really what makes all these trips worth it. There is an amazing satisfaction in sharing the love of Christ that never gets old no matter how many times you do it, as when you share the love of Christ you are following His command in Matthew 28:19-20 (The Great Commission). Obedience to God is an amazing thing, as the power of God is what changes lives, and today we got to experience the power of God through obeying his command.
