I want to spend a few days giving you an update on what Kelli and I got to do this week.  First and foremost I want to thank my mother in law for watching after our children and our home. Without her help our week would have looked very different.

Stop #1: I first want to talk about Calvary Port St. Lucie.  They were our first stop as we went down to South Florida to visit friends and reconnect with so many churches and leaders who have influenced us and helped us grow over the years.  The first place we stopped in to visit was Calvary Port St. Lucie. We got to visit Pastor Mike and the incredible staff.  As a back story  Kelli and I helped plant this church back in 2004.  Kelli was on staff for a few years as the worship leader and I was on staff as the student pastor prior to coming up to Southbrook Church in 2010.  We got to spend time with the Calvary PSL staff (many of which are good friends of ours).  It was like a home coming of sorts.  The best part of our visit with Calvary PSL was not only reconnecting with friends but also seeing the new facility God has provided for them.  It seemed just like yesterday we were helping set up and tear down and now God has blessed them with an incredible worship center.  We are so proud of them and  to be former staff members at Calvary PSL.  We are thankful for our time there.  God has continued to move in amazing ways in the past 5 years at Calvary PSL and I expect incredible things to continue to happen.  All of the Pastors and staff have a heart for the Church and the community.

For your information we did not leave with an empty stomach or with an empty Jeep.  We were treated to an incredible lunch prior to attending their staff meeting.  By the way, for the record, any church staff meeting that includes chocolate covered strawberries is WELL worth attending.  They also sent us away with a FULL Jeep.  Calvary PSL donated some incredible equipment to Awaken City Church!  We are so excited to repurpose this equipment to bring God glory.  Calvary PSL is supporting Awaken City Church in many ways!  Not only have they donated equipment to us, but they are also financially supporting us as we begin the work God has called us to.  We are so excited to partner with them to reach the Sunshine state for Jesus.   They have set an incredible bar for generosity and partnership. To sum up our first stop, I will simply say that I was moved by what we experienced at Calvary PSL.  God has provided some incredible churches to connect with and THIS church is one of them!
