Warren Weirsbe talks about how there is battle for our minds in his book titled The Strategy of Satan.  From guilt to negative words, these things can all play into guiding us to a stage ofspiritual dryness.  God wants to help us fight this battle.  Victory can only come from Him.

Romans 12:2 (AMP)  Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, eventhe thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

We are encouraged to renew our minds.  This happens when we are in the word of God.  Isn’t it funny how you can read the same block of scripture each year and it have a new application for you?  The same is true for our day to day.  God speaks to us through His word.  Get into the word of God and let Him renew your mind.  You will be blessed by doing so.
