What Drives Me: Part 2

This is the second post of my ongoing series of what drives me.  To see the first post click here.  I am an overachiever.  I was never really worried make the honor roll in high school or have a perfect GPA in college but I was thrived on learning things.  I remember Kishor Mehta (a professor I had in the School of Engineering) stating that we should be more concerned about “life long learning”.  That has seemed to stick with me.  Although this information seems logical to some, to me it struck a chord very early on in my adult life.

Today I follow this with my responsibilities as a Pastor.  I am not afraid to say that I do not know everything.  In fact I believe this is all part of Gods sense of humor.  He has stretched me in my analytical capacity and also my care capacity.  Care you say…yes CARE.  You see the only course I took on caring for others (as it relates to being a Pastor) was a course titled “Basic Interpersonal Relationship Skills”.  The high light of that class was our feelings log.  With that said God has really stretched me over the past 7 years to not only serve His people but to love and care for them as well.  I don’t know everything, but I am committed to a life of learning.
