I wanted to post a few thoughts about our student ministry life groups. Instead of me trying to put words on a blog to describe how life groups are impacting our students, I decided to let the Continue Reading…

There are so many things happening in the Student Ministry. I am blown away at the ministry that happens each and every week. I wanted to take a few moments to share with you some of things happening.
1. Back To School: Fall has arrived and so have the students! I love the beginning of the school year. I am so blessed to see students get connected with each other and with God.
2. Life Groups: We have over 60% of our student ministry signed up for life groups. This is absolutely amazing to me! It blows my mind knowing that these students would be so willing to come in on a Wednesday night for 10 weeks to dig into God’s Word. I know God will honor their commitment! Pray that lives are changed during the course of our time together.
3. Adult Volunteer Team: We have over 22 Adult leaders serving in the student ministry! I am honored to serve side by side with all of these awesome folks. From events to caring for the students they do it all! I could not even imagine what the student ministry landscape would look like with out them.
4. Partnerships: Over the past few weeks, we (as a church) have been working hard at making connections with other local church leaders. To say I am excited for the future for the local Church is an understatement. I am about to come unglued with excitement for some of the things being planned! Watch out Charlotte!!!…the Church is rising up!
. There are those who say that high school ministry is dead. Perhaps it is in some regards but nothing warms my spirit more than to see a bunch of High School Continue Reading…
Adam is a college freshman this fall at Clemson University. He has been an awesome addition to the Southbrook Student Ministry over the past few years. Here is his story from New Hampshire.
So, when Billy told me that he wanted us to write about our experiences from the New Hampshire Missions trip, I didn’t know what I was going to say exactly because I wanted to tell everyone EVERYTHING about it! This trip helped me realize even more that God’s plan is even greater than our own because I didn’t know which trip this summer I should have gone on at first. It was between Haiti and New Hampshire. I had been praying and praying and finally I felt as if God had put a burden on my heart for NH. At first I Continue Reading…
Keddy is one of our worship interns and is an amazing young Godly women. Here is her story from her New Hampshire Experience.
This past week has been one of the toughest but yet one of the greatest experience of my life. When it comes down to defining what was done in me this past week, I can’t put my finger on just one. God sent me on this trip to point out my flaws and shape me up. I have anxiety issues caused by a previous experience in my life, and that has limited me to doing many things. One of those things has been the fear of being away from home. Months before the trip was going to take Continue Reading…
