Lessons learned at the Taco Truck

So a bunch of us from Southbrook headed out for lunch.  Being half mexican and a fan of tacos I suggested the Taco Truck.  I was introduced to the Taco Truck by a friend when we moved up here back in October.  Anyway so not knowing how some of the staff would feel about eating food that in all honesty has had a stigma for being called ‘road kill’ or my favorite ‘eating at the roach coach’, we decided to go.

There is something you need to know about this taco truck. This truck is unlike any others…and no I am not saying this just to justify my eating habits.  The food is fresh, the owners are extremely nice and the Coke-a-Cola is REAL!  Real you say?…Yes REAL.  No high fructose corn syrup…just plain old sugar.  Anyway, my favorite dish consist of two chicken tacos.  You can’t really go wrong with tacos.  In fact this is the stick to measure all other Mexican food restaurants by, or in this case taco trucks.  Well the newbies (Matt, Pastor Rob, and Kevin) all enjoyed their taco truck experience.  So what’s the lesson?

Well this particular truck has been here for years am for the most part has been looked over by some of the staff.  I think we can all relate to hectic schedules and how often times we pass up what God has for us.  Not to over spiritualize things but sometimes when you are looking for a lake in a desert you skip over the small stream.  In all seriousness reflecting on this I was convicted that sometimes we need to slow down and actually engage the things God has right in front of our noses.  If your lucky your experience my be as rewarding as landing at the Taco Truck….if your experience turns out bad, jump up, look around and act like nothing happened.
