Just yesterday I was with a team in Haiti on a missions trip. Everything happened so fast…it was like we just got there. Today, as I type this out while sitting on a park bench, I am reminded of the amenities we
are afforded as Americans. It almost seems unfair. It makes me question why I was afforded the opportunity to be born here…why did God allow me to be right here right now? So much to consider in light of my past week. I feel my life has been turned upside down in some way. It makes me recall how the apostles lives were turned upside down at the appearance of Jesus after His death on the cross. That single day changed everything for them and for us. I pray the our group of students had their lives turned upside down….I pray that their new normal is nothing like their normal was eight days ago. I can’t wait to see how God uses these students…we will be seeing the results of this trip for years to come. May God get all of the glory.
