Kelly is one of our impact student and was part of three trips this year (Haiti, Student Life Camp and New Hampshire).  Here is her story from New Hampshire.

This years trip was fun and spiritual. Last year was good, but this year was great. This year we helped with Riverbank Church at the Lebanon location and we partnered with their second campus in Brattleboro (located an hour south). On the trip up, we had some problems, but the students and leaders stayed positive and didn’t let problems get in the way of God’s mission for our team.On the first day we hiked up a beautiful mountain. It was physically draining for some, but with encouragement, we were able to do it and we all came down the mountain tired and ready for a little swim. We had a couple cookouts, which allowed us to bond with the Riverbank staff. On the first day of real work, we put up door hangers in Lebanon. The next two days we went to Brattleboro and did a prayer walk and hung up door hangers (invites to church).

When we went to Brattleboro, we could tell it was spiritualy dark. We hung door hangers up in the town and in a trailer park located outside of the town. Hanging them up in the town was tough for me. We were actually able to talk to residents and we had some good conversations and some people sounded interested in church.  Now, it’s God who will take the wheel and hopefully Riverbank will make an impact in Vermont and New Hampshire. When we attended Riverbank in Brattleboro on Sunday,i t felt weird because there were not as many people as I am use to. There were a total of about 300 people between both locations. We found out towards the end of the day that two people accepted Christ at their Lebanon location (go God)!

I love going on mission trips and I love seeing people change. Every morning I woke up and went to God’s word and somehow, it related to the work we were going to do that day.  I believe this was Gods way of showing me verses for encouragement.   Some people went on this unsure about things, but as the week progressed, I could see a change in those students and they were happy they came. The last day is always sad becuase we’ve hung out with each other all week. When it came time to leave, no one wanted to go.This mission trip is the next step on growing in my faith and allowing an impact on others. New Hampshire will definitely be seeing more of me!
