2013 Haiti trip: Day #1

Today we embarked on a 7 day mission trip to serve the people of Haiti. Although our team is comprised of mostly High school students I anticipate God to do great things with and in our team. This week we will have the opportunity to run four vacation Bible schools,

a youth conference and participle in communion at our host church (a first for me while in Haiti).

Our team arrived at Charlotte Douglas airport at 4:30am and landed in Haiti at 12 noon. The weather is pretty nice so far. It’s windy and dry. We are waiting to experience our first Haitian meal…from the smells that are coming from the kitchen, we are in for a real treat! Pray for protection and ministry opportunities!

  • So glad you are all there. Know that so many of your Southbrook “family” are supporting you in prayer. Trust the Lord, be safe, and enjoy the ability to serve God in this awesome way.

  • I am praying traveling mercies and open heavens for your intercession and service to the people of Haiti. Thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you. Ministering to others is always a blessing. God bless you and those wonderful teens!! I can not wait to hear your praise reports on how mighty God will move!
