A Push

2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds,

James 1:2

I was running the other morning and I was on the second leg of my 5 mile run. I had a nice ‘push’ from the breeze. It made the second half of my run a bit easier. As I ran, I recalled learning that a wind gradient is nothing more than the difference between two pressures (high and low, in which the wind goes from high to low); It’s almost a guiding force if you will.

Similar to my own life, I can recall where God allowed certain ‘high’ pressures to mount which grabbed my attention and ultimately steered me the direction He wanted me go. I would have never changed if the pressure was not there. I recall Jon Courson stating one time that the beauty of being in the forest is that once you are in the forest the next thing is for you to get out. Of course we learn things while we are in the forest…but the beauty is that God is glorified, we draw closer to Him and we are exactly where He wants us to be…on our knees listening to Him.
