Summer Camp: Day 4 & Wrap up

Guest Blogger: Kelly Spinney
One of my favorite times at Southbrook is serving as an adult leader on the Student beach trip. To see the Spirit move in the lives of students in such a short, concentrated timeframe leaves me in awe of an Almighty God and how much He loves us. I am privileged to see chains dropped,

hearts healed, joy restored, passion ignited, and complete brokenness in response to our Holy, sovereign Lord. I find myself still reflecting on all that God has orchestrated in pursuit of these wonderful students. As I watch them fall to there knees in worship, pray for each other, or discuss what God was speaking to them during their quiet times, I get so excited for what God has planned for them and how He will use them to further His Kingdom. I, personally, talked with students that were surrendering fears and insecurities, those who were realizing how much they were pushing away God’s love and running from it, those who felt God’s love for the very first time, and those who are desperately seeking for God’s guidance and direction for their lives. I may have only slept for a few hours over the past 5 days, but my soul is refreshed and I look forward to seeing what God is going to do. We, Southbrook, have a really great group of students and I am honored to be a part of what God is doing in and through them!
